Edmond de Rothschild Limited is the UK subsidiary of Edmond de Rothschild Group. Its business is conducted through two principal subsidiaries, LCF Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management Limited and LCF Edmond de Rothschild Securities Limited.

LCF Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management limited has been managing multi-manager alternative investment funds since 1969 and is responsible for the investment management of the Capital Holdings Funds. These are the flagship multi-manager alternative investment funds of the Edmond de Rothschild Group, with combined assets of approximately US$3 billion. The company also designs, structures and tailors portfolios of alternative investment funds.  The principal objective of The Capital Holdings Funds is to provide investors with medium to long term capital appreciation by significantly outperforming equity markets using a dynamic, multi-manager alternative investment approach.

  • LCH, ECH and ACH invest principally in equities in a specific region – US, Europe and Asia and TCH invests globally in equity, FX, fixed income and commodity markets
  • Investment objective is long term outperformance of regional equity markets, as represented by benchmark indices

The Capital Holdings Group of Funds were initiated by Edmond de Rothschild Group in 1969. The lead management and distribution of these funds is today led by LCF Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management limited.

LCF Edmond de Rothschild Securities Ltd (Fixed Income Division) is active in all international and domestic fixed income securities across all currency sectors and specialises in credit and structured products in both investment grade and sub-investment grade securities. 

The business activities of the Bond Department are:

  • To provide impartial advice on all aspects of the international bond markets.
  • To act as principal in all transactions.
  • To create ideas and recommendations that assist clients in meeting their portfolio objectives, hedging their liabilities and/or outperforming their benchmark.

Investment Companies

Established in 1993, the LCF Edmond de Rothschild Securities Emerging Market Funds team specialises in broking and market making in emerging market investment funds. The Team follows some 400 funds providing independent expertise to help clients select the best product to suit their investment objectives.  Clients can now access the proprietary database and research online.

The fund’s objective is to achieve growth of the net asset value by investing in companies of the Indian subcontinent in accordance with the selection criteria set out in the investment strategy.

The fund’s objective is to increase the net asset value by investing primarily in French companies whose valuation characteristics indicate that they are likely to record strong performances. The selection criteria shall be set out in the investment strategy. The FCP implements an active “stock-picking” management strategy, selecting equities listed in an investment universe comprising mainly French stocks. At least 75% of the assets will be invested in European equities, with at least 65% in French equities. Equities from outside France will not exceed 10% of the net assets.

Securities will mainly be selected on their capacity to offer a higher return than the MSCI Europe index. On an ancillary basis, the assets may be invested in shares considered by the manager to be undervalued compared to their sector or market. Under-valuation will be appreciated according to PER or EV/EBITDA for example. The Sub-Fund will invest a minimum of two thirds of its total assets in shares of companies domiciled in Europe or exercising a preponderant part of their economic activity in that region. Securities will be chosen in the Euro zone market and in markets in the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Denmark, Sweden and Norway.
